Declutter Your Love…and get your life back.

I couldn’t wait to tell you.

I bought a pair of new shoes.  They’re red.

They are a reward and a reminder.  Let me explain.

I’ve been clearing out a lot of clutter from my life.  It has taken many forms.  I’m still working on it, BTW.  And I’ve had a lot of help from my friends.

I’ve cleaned out closets, gone through decades of old papers, cards and memorabilia;  found stuff I didn’t even remember I had.  Memories of all kinds washed over me, and I cried.  A lot.

It was a process of letting go. My husband carried a bunch of huge, stuffed black trash bags to the dumpster.

Recently I started going through my wardrobe and household belongings.  I gave away loads of things, without shedding any tears, including 10 pairs of good leather shoes, not the cheap kind you can buy at Wal-Mart.

Funny, but every pair of shoes reminded me of a certain period in my life.  Some even reminded me of particular people!

You might not know it, but before I could do any of this letting go, I had to let go of something else.  Something much more personal.

I had to let go of certain ways of thinking; beliefs and behaviors…that kept me sort of trapped in a bubble.

The trouble with bubbles is that they float aimlessly and eventually break.  Sometimes other people can reach out and break those bubbles, sending you plummeting.

Discovering my higher purpose changed everything.

Learning to Love has made all the difference in my life. It hasn’t always been easy. I’ve gotten a lot of help from very special people and even a character or two.

I’m still working on it, BTW.

For the first time, I have realized that Love is cause-able and do-able.  It’s very real.  My job in this life is to “do” Love, and “to teach others so.”

My brother wrote the book, and gave me a completely new understanding of everything.  But he has also given me something that can’t be put into words.

Love gave me back my joyful self!

When you see me wearing my red shoes, you’ll know it’s a little sign that my life is vibrant, bright, and joyous now.

They are my reward for letting go, and embracing myself and life in a whole new way.

I’ve never had a pair of red shoes…till now.

Love,

Cath
